White Winter Hymnal by Fleet Foxes covered by Jhameel
I did a cover of the same song and found this cover under the related links. I was intrigued by his cover and something in his description caught my eye: “album is free at http://www.jhameel.com”. I heard a song, then two, then three, and I had his album downloaded. I actually downloaded his album once I was through with the first track on the playlist because it was really, really good. I browsed through his website and I find him extremely intriguing and inspiring. Check him out yourself at his website mentioned above. We need more people like Jhameel.
By the way, here’s another interesting cover of White Winter Hymnal I found: White Winter Hymnal (Fleet Foxes Cover)
Yeah okay so some self-promotion, here’s my take on the song: White Winter Hymnal Cover
Next Big Thing of the Day: “If Justin Bieber can get famous, why can’t I?” asks Graham Stookey before launching into an original open-strings composition entitled “Jonah.”
Replies YouTuber Grey80002: “I would have so many bitches if I were you. I’d have em just lined up outside… down the street. I’d just have bitches every damn place. Bitches in the closet, bitches in the basement… just bitches every god damned place.”

Nice laugh at the end, Graham.

Common Reaction (acoustic) by Uh Huh Her
If you’re a fan of The L Word you’ll probably already know the existence of this band. Leisha Hailey pairs up with Camila Grey to form yet another one of my favourite bands. And came up with a great album, Common Reaction, which I will certainly never ever get sick of.
“Like much modern electronic music, this album fuses punkish guitars and baselines with piano and strings, then overlays those instruments with synthesized buzzing and whirring. What sucked me in were the reedy yet ethereal vocals of the two women as they sang of love, lust, and righteously angry heartbreak.”
I love this acoustic version of the song because.. well, I just seem to prefer acoustics. Heh.
The Way It Was Before - Jack Conte Ft. Nataly Dawn and Ryan Lerman
Go check out Jack and Nataly’s band, Pomplamoose, on youtube, for more awesome music. I personally recommend listening to their Electro-Harmonix Vocoder track demo “In Harmony”.

Alex Cornell is not just a musician but also a designer! How nice. Ok anyway he does a hell lotta covers on his YouTube channel and the covers sound more like his own songs rather than the original artists’. I guess I prefer such covers because I think that covers that sound exactly like the original are too… I don’t even know how to describe it :/ I have a huge bunch of his covers on my iTunes. I forgot where I got them but I’m sure he put them up for download somewhere out there. Try searching around for it yeah. He doesn’t only do covers, check out his originals too. Oooh & guess what, Alex has a tumblr as well! :D
