DGD isn’t an easy band to listen to if you’re used to the usual constant beats and comfortable riffs. DGD isn’t a band that would get your attention at the first listen, but they grow on you over time if you sit through their albums a few times. They sound different from most post-hardcore bands because of their irregular drumming and jazz scales - now you should probably know what I meant by letting their music grow on you. That aside, I’m a sucker for their lyrics and emotion in their voices.
Side note: I may be one of the minority who’s excited that Jonny Craig’s back in DGD. He may be an asshole but I can’t bring myself to dislike him too much to boycott his shit because he IS good with his music.
OK Go has just released the video for their song, Last Leaf. The music video is comprised entirely of still photographs—15 for every second of footage. It was directed by the band, together with Nadeem Mazen and Ali Mohammad with animation by Geoff Mcfetridge.

Landfill - Low
One of my favourite tracks off their self-titled debut full-length album. I really enjoy this video because it was made while the band members were all pissed drunk. I suppose I’d enjoy it much more because I know them in person and watching this is just hilarious. Spread the love if you love ‘em!
Landfill (Belgium)
They might sound like another alternative rock band out there to some of you. I agree to that, but there’s just something different about their sound which differentiates them from that pool. I won’t deny that I’m enjoying every piece of music they’ve got. They’ve also produced a few music videos which are as amazing as their tracks, do check them out on YouTube! I’ve linked up 2 of them below.
Just trying to raise awareness of these few Belgian bands who are friends of a personal friend of mine. Spread the love around if you love what you hear. Peace! You can stream their music from their MySpace (click-through picture). Videos (and listen to): Kite, Low.
Mintzkov
I’m sure you guys are familiar with indie names like Babyshambles, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks and the likes from the UK. Are you used to their sound? Yes? Good for you, but for now, how about something fresh, hm? Belgian indie has got what it takes to make you groove & also to soothe you. I’m going to let Mintzkov (& dEUS) give you an eye opener on Belgian music. Search on. Enjoy :D
Listen to: Mimosa
dEUS - The Architect
How about some European goodness on here? We’ve all been too caught up with UK indie & American alternative that we missed out such good tunes along the way. This song is bound to play on loop in your playlist. True story. And just watch the video, damn it, it’s too trippy!
More Belgian stuff coming your way. Stay close ;)
