This particular song of theirs sound really like Chromeo and I got confused for a little while when I was sitting through their album WHB. I’m absolutely in love with this music video too! Bonus points for the colour scheme as well. Anyway, have you been feeling extremely lost with your playlists recently? Not like you don’t like the music you’re listening to anymore, but more like as if every playlist is sounding pretty bland. Give We Have Band a listen for their really refreshing electro/synth/pop sound, where every track triggers different moods and emotions, and they sound almost like a fusion of Chromeo and Delphic. That fusion is an understatement - don’t take my word for it, listen now!
Crystal Castles - Not In Love feat. Robert Smith
The voice the Cure + Crystal Castles’ 8bit sound = probably the collaboration of the year. Once this song goes on repeat, there’s no stopping
Gypsy & The Cat - Gilgamesh
I instantly fell in love with this London based Australian duo when I first heard their track Time to Wander.
Tagged under Dreamwave in last.fm: “Dreamwave is about nostalgia. It’s about hearing something that makes you think of the last day of school, getting off the school bus and running through bright green lawns that’ll be your playground for the rest of summer. It just so happens that we’re all kids of the 80’s. We feel good hearing it. We feel at peace, one with innocence. We remember what it was like when emotions made us feel desperation, like everyday was the most important day of our lives. Before we’ve grown up and moved on to the real world, become jaded by the responsibilites and pressures of a more adult life in the 21st century, we lived in a time of bright skies and big dreams. Dreamwave is music that makes you remember what it was like to fall in love.”
Cheesy but true, this is exactly what I feel when I listen to this Aussie boys. Perfect music for huge cheeseballs like myself

Synrise (ft. Peaches) - Goose
Album: Synrise (2010)
If you’ve heard and loved their previous album, Bring It On (2007), be in for a whole new ride for Synrise. You can tell just by listening to this opening track. Play this track while cruising down the highway and bass it up! The album gets better and better, track by track, bringing you on a roller-coaster ride with relevant highs and lows. What’s most enjoyable is that you could still tell it’s Goose despite the different feel. You should also listen to: Words.
